PEER Grant
In January, TES, TMS, and THS were selected to participate in the PEER 2.0 Cohort through Crowley’s Ridge Educational Co-op. This cohort’s design and purpose is to improve teacher instructional practices through coaching and student achievement/growth. The team used the Proficiency Scale from Improving Teacher Development and Evaluation by Robert Marzano. Each teacher, mentor teacher, and building principal who impacted positive school growth due to their work in PEER, received a stipend ranging from $250 to $3000.00. (Amount issued to teachers/principals was approximately $71,000.00.)
Additionally, through a PEER grant (amount of approximately $18,000.00), new teachers will be a part of an Induction Program focused on learning and implementing researched practices by Harry Wong in the area of Classroom Management.
