Family Assistance

“Good Tidings (formerly Goodfellows) is a 70-year community effort that provides food, toys, prayer, and the hope of Christ to local families before Christmas. This year’s event is Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, and our goal is to raise $70,000 toward food and toys for families in need.

This year, groups can partner in two ways — financially or by collecting a specific food item.  Examples include green beans, peanut butter, or stuffing mix, and we have a list available if your group wants to adopt one.

If a group prefers not to collect physical items, they can also sponsor a family ($200), a half pallet of food ($500) or a full pallet ($1,000), which will be purchased and delivered through our wholesale partners.

All gifts go directly to food and toys. Nettleton Baptist Church covers all operating costs. Last year we served around 300 families and 1,200 people, and we expect even more this year.
