At the April School Board Meeting, stockholders of the Roach Manufacturing Corporation presented Trumann School District with a sizable donation that will enable academics and athletics to merge in a unique and exciting way. Funds received from the Roach family will be used to purchase a 15X30 Jumbotron LED digital scoreboard to complement the newly constructed football stadium and field house.

Since the Roach Family has made such a generous donation, the Trumann School Board has decided to name the new stadium RMC Stadium. The name of the stadium will be displayed on the portal as Wildcat fans and guests enter the stadium. Taylor Morgan, Trumann School Board President stated, “We are grateful for the partnership we have with Roach Manufacturing”.

According to Superintendent Myra Graham, “ We are thankful to the Roach family for investing in our school and generously giving to us to provide great opportunities for students Additionally, the video board will be something that the whole community can enjoy.”

This new technology will create opportunities for students to engage in real-world, multimedia production experience. The scoreboard will have the capability to show instant replays and create announcements using still, animation and motion graphics. Students will be able to learn these technological design skills and have their work showcased for the public to view during games and events. It will also allow for partnerships with local businesses to advertise and market their brand.

The projected completion of the new athletic facility is late summer/early fall 2018.
