AMI Information

Parents/Guardians of Trumann School District Students,

With ACT 862 of 2017, Arkansas schools now have been given the option of declaring canceled days of schools (due to snow/ice, power outages, etc.) as traditional INCLEMENT WEATHER Days or AMI Days. Please know that upon deciding to cancel school, Trumann School District will notify parents/guardians via local radio stations, tv stations, Trumann School District Facebook page, Trumann School District Webpage, and the Trumann School District's alert systems.

Please be listening as to whether the canceled day of school is a typical INCLEMENT WEATHER Day or an AMI Day. If the day is claimed an AMI Day, students will complete the work assigned to them by their teachers. At TES, Wildcat Power Pouches have been sent home (packets of work pages and assignments). At TMS and THS, students will have assignments downloaded to their Chromebooks or on paper (sent home in Manila Envelopes). If students have trouble completing AMI work due to needing additional assistance or lack of power/internet, please communicate this with the teacher to make follow-up arrangements to get the work completed in a timely manner.

Upon work completion, students will be given credit for attendance for the AMI Day (turned in by the due date given by the teacher).

For additional information, please notify your child's school.

TES: 870-483-5314

TMS: 870-483-5356

THS: 870-483-5301

Trumann Prek will be closed on AMI or Inclement Weather Days with no student work assigned.
