PIVOT to Blended Learning Announcement---
Trumann Students and Families,
Today, as COVID test results are coming in, we are seeing an increase in the number of quarantined/isolated cases for students and employees.
Our goal is to keep the health and safety of students and employees a top priority. After consulting with the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, we will be pivoting our K-12 onsite students to “Blended Learning” (moderate level) starting Wednesday, November 11, 2020, and running through Friday, November 20, 2020. Students will need to email their teachers and check their Google Classrooms to access assignments.
By Arkansas Better Chance rules, our Trumann Pre-K program will remain open for onsite learning during this time.

For the privacy of all students and staff, Trumann School District will not be sharing any personal information publicly.
What does this mean for my student/family?
Students will be responsible for attending/tending to their learning/assignments each day during the normal school day hours. Grades will be taken. Please check Google Classrooms, Social Media, our Website, and REMIND for updates, which will be posted daily.
If you do not have a stable internet source at home, you can pick up an internet hotspot from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week at the Trumann Middle School Auditorium (drive-thru style).
Staff, not on quarantine, will report to work and will be available to assist students in need. You can contact your child’s teacher via email. We will be constantly checking our emails throughout the “Blended Learning” time.
Students who need onsite support for their blended learning via school support staff may arrive at 8am and be picked up at 2:55pm. Please email your principal if you are in need of onsite support for blended learning.
Students who need onsite support for dyslexia services, small group instruction, special education services, etc. will be provided this support onsite or via ZOOM/Google Hangout. Please email your student’s principal to make these arrangements.
Meals for Wednesday through Friday can be picked up from each campus via the car line from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. More information will be made available for meals for next week at a later time.
During this blended learning time, if your child test positive for COVID-19 or is a Close Contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please email our Point of Contact, Amy Ball at [email protected]. Please provide specific details (dates/contact/testing date/best contact phone number, etc.) in your email.
In-Season Athletics and Programs will continue to practice at their regular scheduled time (following class schedule) onsite. Extracurricular events will continue, as scheduled with COVID protocols continuing to be in place: mask-wearing, temperature taking, symptom checking, reduced capacity, social distancing, no congregating, etc.
Interim ACT Aspire testing for TES and TMS (practice tests) will be rescheduled.
Families: Making healthy choices a priority will allow us to be back onsite full time. Please: Wear a mask. Maintaining 6 feet of social distancing. Do not congregate. Eat healthy. Get plenty of rest.
